Holy cow! So, I recently saw a movie preview for "Letters to Juliet" and I have to tell you that I am counting down the days until May 7th!
First of all, I am a sucker for any wonderfully sappy, romantic, mushy comedy... so this looks right up my alley.
Second, I adore Amanda Seyfried. There haven't been any movies she's been in that I haven't liked her (Mean Girls, Mamma Mia, Dear John etc.). I think she is very captivating and raw on screen, which makes her great with any cast!
Third, what an adorable story. Here is the synopsis courtesy of IMDB, "An American girl on vacation in fabulous Italy finds an unanswered "letter to Juliet" - one of thousands of missives left at the fictional lover's Verona courtyard, which are typically answered by a the "secretaries of Juliet" - and she goes on a quest to find the lovers referenced in the letter."
Adventure? Cute boy? Italy? Yes, please!
Have any of you seen the trailer? Now the real question is can any of you come close to matching my excitement level?! If so, we totally have a movie date May 7th! If you haven't seen the trailer yet, check it out here - enjoy!
Oh my goodness, I hadn't heard a thing about this movie {which isn't surprising since I live over here & never hear about new movies!} but now I'm right there with you, waiting for it to come out! You'll get to see it before me, so you'll have to let me know how it is. Watching the trailer, my eyes actually got a bit teary! Aww, it looks so sweet! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeletePS -- Your blog is looking awfully cute!
Hi pretty girl!
ReplyDeleteI know, doesn't it look adorable?! That's a bummer that you won't have access to it right when it comes out - how far are movies delayed over in fancy Europe?
You should totally weekend roadtrip to Italy and watch it there ;)
Hey, thanks! This blog QUEEN gave me some great advice, so I'm loving it! What would I do without her? Still having issues with post title fonts, but I'm determined to figure it out!! Hope your Monday is happy!
Watched this last night, it's apparently a sequel, but you can find stream it on Netflix; it's Russian Dolls with Romain Duris. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite actors, he's expressive and fun to watch, yet it never looks like he's trying to hard. The movie is a realistic, yet hopeful portrayal of a modern romance. (Though you may want to watch the first movie first, I felt a little lost at the beginning.)
