After weeks and weeks of late work nights and never-ending case loads at the firm, Amy was completely burnt out. Young, ambitious, and dying to make a name for herself, she thrived off of the challenge, but she had reached her max. Amy loved living within the Boston metropolis, and lawyer life was great, but she was feeling restless... trapped. She knew it was time to get away.
Usually Amy was the responisble planner type, weighing her pros and cons while analyzing every last detail, but not today. This was her day to be free. She decided to call in sick bright and early that Thursday morning, packed up her Louis Vuitton luggage that she spent her Christmas bonus on, and was off to the airport.
With her long chestnut locks cascading out of her floral head scarf, she decided to go for it. There were millions of fabulous destinations to choose, but she felt like being wild, spontaneous Amy today. Walking up to the ticket counter, she took a deep breath and finally worked up the courage to say...

ReplyDeleteAs it turns out, Jeff Walton was the son of Robson Walton, whose net worth was a mere $15.6 billion, though Amy would have never known by looking at him. Dressed in jeans and a casual pullover, Jeff looked like any other traveler in the line that day. As Amy would find out, Jeff was also fleeing to Paris, but for a much different reason...

ReplyDeleteOh no, I just realized that I did this incorrectly! I really loved my idea, too -so, dang it! Sorry everyone -sorry Meg. Scratch what I wrote before. I will re-do:
ReplyDeleteOnce Amy heard Jeff mutter the words, "Pure bred cats in Ecuador," she had about 10 thoughts occur within 10 seconds.
"This guy is so sort of strange... He just handed a big wad of money to a man on the plane. They were whispering. Then, he had the look of death on his face. Now, he is worried about pure bred cats? I'm SO sure..."
After having these thoughts, Amy had to remind herself of something very important. Years ago, she had promised herself that she would NEVER get into another relationship with someone who seemed strange, right off the bat. Yes, this was only a plane ride, but she didn't want to ruin another moment in life by letting herself be attracted to a weird guy. Even if he's hot, he's NOT WORTH IT.
This was her special moment. This was her time to shine. She was going to Paris for herself. With that said, she zoned Jeff out, and she listened to Womanizer on her iPod.
Sorry Meg, I will do a better job next week. This is SUCH a cute idea. And, I love the background on your blog.
