Happy Monday!
I followed your suggestion and put a little shout out to Mingle Monday at the bottom of my post: http://just-another-smith.blogspot.com/2010/08/quote-of-week-i-love-being-random.html. The more the merrier, right?
ReplyDeleteI stopped by Coast and Prospect and said "hello" (picture the annoying Flo from Progressive voice). I love the style and voice with which she writes and I enjoyed living a sorority life vicariously through her. Hee hee!
I also stopped by Life With the Edwards (holla!). Her blog is so cute, it looks like something right out of a scrapbook...but a good scrapbook...you know, like Martha Stewart worthy? I loved reading about her trips to the doggy park, because my local dog park is basically my second home! Can't wait to read more!
xoxo,
Smitty {Just Another Smith}
Since I entered two blogs in this par-tay (wedding blog and personal blog), I doubled up my visits...plus, I just like visiting new bloggy friends!
ReplyDeleteThis time, I visited A Moment with Megan. It was an instant connection, considering we both do Quote of the Week Mondays! She has an uber cute button to go along with it, though!
Then I visited Sweet Pea in the Kitchen..."kitchen" sold me right off the bat, because a) I'm hungry and b) I love reading about anyone who knows how to cook since I don't. My stomach started growling at the peach cobbler!
When I added my blog to the list, I clicked on all four of the previous thumbnails before mine. All seemed like such sweet girls--all of which were married or soon-to-be married! (I'm not, lol)
ReplyDeleteI visited A Moment With Megan and noticed that we had a lot in common on her about me page! We were both born into military families and lived in a lot of the same places. It would be super interesting to talk to her more to exchange stories, for sure!
I also visited Life with the Edwards and adored her layout. She and her husband seem like such sweet people. I am also uber jealous of her Northern California location right now!
I know what your fun news is!! So exciting! :)
ReplyDeleteI visited Northwest Betty and LOVED her pictures and posts! And I'm so glad she posted about folding a fitted sheet - I need to learn! New follower! :)
I also visited Life with The Edwards and found we have a lot in common! Loved that she's originally from Oklahoma - Yay midwest! :) And I loved her blog layout!
I also added it to my post for today!
Happy Monday Meg! I checked out...
ReplyDelete-Sweet Pea in the Kitchen: love the recipes! Hi, anyone who loves Paula Deen and Bethenney Frankel is a friend in my book!
-A Moment with Megan: features a weekly quote every Monday and today's I DEFINETELL can relate to. Also, freaking precious baby pictures. So cute!

So far I've read Coast and Prospect. She drew me right in with her most recent post and I poked around a bit and read a few other posts. Good stuff! She's a great writer and has lots of stories to tell.
ReplyDeleteThanks, as always, for hosting Meg!
I posted 2 blogs this time...The Bird in Boots, and my new recipe blog Sweet Pea in the Kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI ended up visiting double the blogs to make up for it, and the 4 I wanted to highlight are:
A Beautiful Ride -- enjoyed looking at pics from her recent trip
Color Me Neurotic – ok the books drew me in, and I love the name of this cute blog
Simple Little Joys – It was so sweet that she wished her little brother a happy birthday
Just Another Smith – Loved all of her random musings
HEY EVERYONE!! STOP BY MY BLOG IF YOU GET A CHANCE! ALWAYS LOOKING FOR NEW FEMALE FOLLOWERS ESPECIALLY ONES WITH WISDOM! I GUESS IT'S IN YOUR 20'S THAT YOU START REALIZING YOU DO ACTUALLY NEED HELP!!! haha
ReplyDeleteI started off with
SWEET PEA IN KITCHEN: oh my word! i swear I am at school on this computer with pains in my tummy after reviewing her latest food accomplishment in the kitchen. Her site was sweet looking and I browsed through some other posts after her PEACH COBBLER and immediately clicked follow
Why am I following her?? BEcause I like to torture myself with what fine cuisine others are eating i guess. HAHA but you never know when someone's blog on recipes is going to come in handy for that special man :). THat is the way to a man's heart right??? Through his stomach?? Or am I dated on that one?...hmm
anyways LOVED THE BLOG!!
Next I walked on over to
NORTHWEST BETTY: her pictures were so beautiful of where she stays and I got lost in them for a minute. She and her husband make an amazing and attractive couple and I browsed through other posts and I just liked the homey feel of it all. GO CHECK HER OUT PLEASE!!
I really enjoyed these blogs :). I love MINGLE MONDAYS!!! WOOO WOOO
come check me out now if ya can :)!
http://savedthrulove.blogspot.com
I checked out Color Me Neurotic because her little icon was adorable. Her page is every bit as adorable as I predicted, and now is probably a good time to check her out because her most recent post is a fun survey, which seems like a good way to get her know her.
ReplyDeleteThen I went to Sweat Pea in the Kitchen, and below her most recent post - Peach Cobbler - is a Skinnygirl Mojito that I'm definitely trying ASAP.
I went over to Color Me Neurotic, and I adored her header first off. I love the pink, and she seemed really open and I liked her survey. Very cute blog, gonna have to add that to my follow list!
ReplyDeleteThen I headed over to Puppy Love, simply because Im a puppy love kind of person. Its really sweet. I love people who marry their best friend, especially since I married mine!
Thanks for this Mingle Monday! Lovin' it!

Thanks everyone for your comments and compliments! They make my day! This Monday I stopped by Poodleism and I Dream Loudly. Both were good reads. I visited Coast and Prospect and LOVED WHAT I SAW. I was a sorority girl as well and reading some of her recent posts just brought back some great memories. I really felt that I could relate to her!
ReplyDeleteI also visited A Moment with Megan and loved her Quote Mondays post! What a great idea, I have never seen that before!
I totally love Mingle Mondays...Monday is a hard enough day, I don't want to have to think too much late in the evening, and coming here I can tap into some terrific blogs without a lot of searching on my part...Thank You Meg!
ReplyDeleteI visited The Sweet Life (http://sarissweetlife.blogspot.com) and truly LOL'd at her Emmy Misses!
I also hopped over to Sweet Pea in the Kitchen (http://sweetpeakitchen.blogspot.com) - girls, if you aren't hungry before you get there, you will be after...wow, does she have some yummy looking stuff over there!!! Can't wait to try the peach cobbler!
I stopped by Color Me Neurotic - this lady made me laugh out loud :) So funny! I don't feel bad for hitting cars parked too close to the line either ;)
ReplyDeleteI also stopped by Bicostally. Such a pretty layout and a great read!
I mentioned you in my post for today :) http://throwthestarfishback.blogspot.com/2010/08/weekend-update-movie-review-and-more.html
The 2 blogs I visited today are: Sweet Pea in the Kitchen and I Dream Loudly
ReplyDeleteSweet Pea: I love the recipes, I love to cook so I'm so glad I found this blog, super cute and super awesome, I will be back for sure!
I Dream Loudly: I like the cute story about her day off, it's always nice to be able to get lost in someone else's life for a minute or two, because they always seem so much cuter than my own. I will definitely be following!

I'm in the process of reading both "Life with the Edwards" and "Coast and Prospect"! Both of these are such awesome blogs. I was hooked on the first posts.
ReplyDelete"Life with the Edwards" has such a precious design and the Bible verse at the top is one of my favorites. She seems so real and down to earth!
"Coast and Prospect" has a post about sorority recruitment, which is totally interesting to me because I was in a sorority in college and went through 4 years of it...so seeing her point of view is TOTALLY interesting!
Both are great.
Love Mingle Monday :)
This week I have visited:
ReplyDeletePoodleism - cute layout, interesting outlook on whats going on in the world around us. a must read
I dream loudly - personal diary, good to follow a life story blog i think.
both really good blogs, i recommend taking a look
This is my first week joining Mingle Monday- this is such a great idea, I love it!!
ReplyDeleteI visited:
The Sweet Life- I loved her recap of the Emmys fashion! And I've heard a lot about the Keratin Hair Treatment so I'm interested to see how long the great results last. Such a cute blog!
Simple Little Joys- The blog design is awesome! I thought it was just so cute!! I feel like we have a lot in common being two, true southern girls! :) Her post on the perfect southern home made me smile because I want that dream house too!
Both blogs are great!
This is the first time I participated in Mingle Monday... it was fun to see all the wonderful blogs .. that I may otherwise not have stumbled across.
ReplyDeleteOrganized Chaos ~ I somewhat new to BlogLand myself it was great to see other people are just getting started too! ANd she has already figured out how to make her own button... I'm still working on that.
Allow Myself to Introduce Myself ~ Every uplifting, fun to read.. leaves you wanting to pop back and see what other adventures they encountered on the road trip!! Lets see a pic of the peach pie...
What a wonderful idea. just got the chance to add only 1 of my 4 blogs just before it closed. (but that's weird cos the post says midnight and it's only 10:06 PM CST) Anyway I will reread this later and I promise to follow through with the rest of the steps. *Randomness is the key to enjoying life!* --me
