For example, Christmas music is not a seasonal thing in the MEGnificent household. Some choose to listen the few weeks prior to Christmas, but I prefer to have the holly jolliness continue all year long! Christmas in July anyone?
Another fine exmple?
My tree is already up. Yes, you heard that right. Wreaths are hung and lights are strung! Some may think I am crazy or jumping the gun a little, but I choose to believe I am simply overwhelmed with holiday merriment! ;)
Please tell me there is someone out there who is feeling the Christmas spirit already... please! Anyone?
I digress.
Moving right along... I am very excited to find so many fun holiday ideas out in the bloggy world that I just HAVE to pass them along to all of you.
Case in point:
My dear sweet friend Laura at Luckiest in Love is hosting an ornament swap! How fun is that? I wish I had come up with such a cheerful idea!
Needless to say I am already signed up (duh!) and on the hunt for the cutest ornament of all time! You all should hop on over to Laura's blog and check it out... I mean everyone loves receiving a fun surprise right?
In other news, I can't believe it's mid-November already! However, I realized that my birthday is coming up this Friday and I couldn't be more excited! I have lots of fun things planned and I promise to fill you in soon!!
Have a fabulous Tuesday friends!
PS- Looking for new followers or fun new blogs? Don't forget that the Mingle Monday blog hop is open until Wednesday at midnight.
Stop by and get your blog some exposure!

Meg, I love that picture (the first one) soooooo adorable ! It made my day (well, second part of the afternoon because it's 16:30 for me ...)

I'm a huge fan of Christmas and I love when I have my Itunes on shuffle and Christmas music comes on and it's not even near Christmas time. I'm putting up our tree next week before we leave for Thanksgiving, but I plan on decorating it as soon as we get back, which will be in December!
ReplyDeleteI heart the holidays and that gingerbread pic made me smile!
ReplyDeleteI am the exact same way! I've blogged about my love for Christmas twice already this month. :) And my Christmas-only radio station brightens my days!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I am SO excited for Christmas!! The ONLY reason that our house isn't decked out yet is because David's out of town all this week and we're hosting Thanksgiving for David's family (and he refuses to celebrate Thanksgiving with Christmas decorations already up). You better believe we're decorating the day after! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for entering and blogging about my ornament swap! I'm SO excited about it!
Oh Meg, you are a lady after my own heart. I love Christmas, too. But I've actually given myself rules about it, because I've found that if I enjoy the holidays year round, then when the holidays are actually HAPPENING, they don't seem as special.
ReplyDeleteSo. My main rule is that I'm not allowed to voluntarily play Christmas music until the day after Thanksgiving (but please, I always cheat and start listening a few days prior). But if I'm out in public and it's playing in a store or something, I will pretty much stay in that store for hours enjoying the glorious sounds of Christmas :-)
I'll probably start decorating this weekend.
What do you have planned for your birthday?? Anything exciting?
ReplyDeleteI totally feel you. I work in Manhattan and it's hard not to get in the spirit of Christmas in this town. I have started listening to some old classics on my ipod already and am considering getting the decorations out already (but I want to experience Thanksgiving first).
I totally agree--where in the hell does the time go?! It's the most wonderful time of the year :)
