I've had it! Today is the day that I finally get back on track. After losing more than 30 pounds on Weight Watchers in high school, I am convinced that the program works and is maintainable!
After getting a little lax with my eating around the holidays, and using my illness/medications as excuses for weight gain and not working out... I'M BACK!
I don't particularly care for my jeans being a bit more snug or seeing myself in unflattering photos. Not to mention I am a bridesmaid in my best friend's upcomign wedding, so enough is enough! Hello motivation!
Last night, I wrote out my weight loss goals and taped them to my bathroom mirror. Every single goal has a realistic date next to it. When each goal is conquered I get a wonderful non-food, indulgent reward.
While I was at it, I also dug out my old Weight Watchers point slider and packed my lunch ahead of time. I threw out any candy and junk food and am ready to do this thing for real... I want my cute little body back!
I am not exactly sure where this motivation is coming from (perhaps that AMAZING photo of Jennifer Hudson?? Wow!), but I am going to do it. I was well on my way this summer and then I let life and excuses get in the way.
So here I am standing before you, blog friends, declaring my ultimate goal. I will be 34 lbs. lighter by June 17th.

ReplyDeleteGood luck, I love WW...when I do it...which I am not right now, but you might have given me the kick in my A$$ I needed!
You can do it!!
I really need to start up again. I lost a bunch of weight on WW after college, but I've gained it all back. I need to lose 31 pounds, but I'm really good at making excuses about hypothyroidism and birth control, etc, but really I just need something to make me actually lose the weight...What motivated you?
ReplyDeleteYou're so motivated!! I need to get my butt in gear and do the same. Just getting by and ignoring it doesn't help... now to make my goals :)
ReplyDeleteGood you you!! Good luck. :)
ReplyDeleteI recently lost 20 pounds on WW. I actually did good through the holidays but have kind of lost it the last couple weeks. But I'm getting back on track, and plan to lose at least 30 more pounds. Hopefully!
I love that you're doing this! I cook a lot of WW recipes, but I've been debating about going all official and everything. I can't decide!
ReplyDeletegood luck girl!! what a great goal. i lost some weight and gained lean muscle by adding free weights to my workout routine. check out womenshealth.com for free work out guides and tutorials. weight lifting burns calories even after youre done working out so its really worth the work. good luck!! xoxo jcd
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love what Weight Watchers teaches you!
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend the program to anyone and everyone! :) I plan to post weekly weigh-in updates every Wednesday to stay accountable!
Yay! Congrats on an awesome decision. June 17th has never looked so good!
ReplyDeleteA lot of my family members have had great success on WW. Good luck :)
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like a blog to hold you accountable! :) Good luck on your weight loss journey, I am sure you will do it. You seem like you have the motivation.
ReplyDeleteI lost 50 pounds on weight watchers about 4 years ago. I get embarrassed when I think or tell people I was 50 pounds heavier, let's just say lack of control in college got the best of me! I loved weight watchers, because I lost weight but I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything either because I could still allow myself a splurge, I just had to plan for it.
I went to WW yesterday and was SHOCKED at the program changes. Those paper sliders are out, and a new digital counter is the only way to go now. They don't even care about calories now, instead they focus on 4 things (fat, carbs, protien, fiber). Today is day 1 for me. Good luck to you! You should go and get the new materials as the plan is TOTALLY different.
ReplyDeletecongrats on starting back up again on WW! i know you can do it!
ReplyDeleteGirlfriend, if I can do it, then you are gonna be able to do it with NO PROBLEM! It'll be a breeze for you :) So excited for you, I know you're gonna do fabulously! We're gonna be right beside you every step of the way to encourage! We'll have to compare notes, too! Hope your Wednesday has been lovely!
ReplyDeleteYou can do it!!! xo HHL
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! You can do it! I agree, Jennifer Hudson looks AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteOk...keep us posted That will keep you on track. Remember you will hit a plateau where your weight loss stalls. Just keep going and you'll get past it! kt
ReplyDeleteThats awesome, good luck! I worked at a frozen yogurt place as my first job (maybe you have Golden Spoon where you live?) and alot of ladies on WW would come in because you could get so much yogurt for little points! You should try it if you haven't!
ReplyDeleteYou rock!! :D I did WW a few years ago, and lost 25 pounds. It's really great to take the points system and use it to learn portion sizes.
ReplyDeletelove you best friend! You're always beautiful but I'm so proud of you of wanting to keep healthy and in shape! you're amazing!
ReplyDeletexoxo
You can do it!!
ReplyDeleteI'm currently on Weight Watchers. I was on it a couple years ago but I recently re-started after gaining a little weight back. The new system is a little different but has worked well for me so far. Keep us updated on your progress!
Good luck girl!! You can do it!!
ReplyDeleteI want to do it TOO!! Back on the treadmill this afternoon :) :) :)
Way to go!!! Good luck --- can't wait to hear about your progress :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck! Keep us updated!! I don't actually do weight watchers, but I love to cook from their cookbook. Such yummy recipes!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! Your WW post caught my eye - I joined on December 10th and am down 8 lbs! I absolutely love the new plan and the freedom that it gives me. I wish you much success. I joined for the same reasons as you: sung jeans, bridesmaid (in June), and I also want my hot college body back! I have 17 lbs to lose until I get to my first official WW goal weight. Then I want to lose about 10 more after that (more of a long term goal - not by the June wedding) :-)
ReplyDeleteNo more excuses!! Definitely a good decision to join. If you need a WW buddy to help keep you accountable - feel free to contact me. You can never have too many.
Well done for putting it out there!
ReplyDeleteI have a few friends who are motivation buddies, we have emailed for the last few years and keep each other accountable for our goals whether exercise or other. Posting your target is great, there is no backing down now! Good on you!
We have a fitness goal this year too which involves a local mountain.
Please drop over to our blog when you have a moment. I am your newest follower!
When is your next weight update?
