I am working Monday, Tuesday and a half day on Wednesday (so excited!). Everyone have a great weekend? Any big news? Fun plans?
My birthday weekend was absolutely perfect! I enjoyed a nice sushi dinner out with all my friends, ate copious amounts of food/sweets (**see weekly question** haha), went to the cabin, and enjoyed a relaxing time with BF/friends/fam! Bday recap coming tomorrow! Meanwhile... shall we get to it?

Happy Monday Meg! Thanks so much for always hosting this hop, it's really fun :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really bad at working out, and I've never used a DVD before... but I'm looking forward to seeing recommendations!
Hello Meg,
ReplyDeleteI am early today, so I just visited the only other blog signed up, "Relevant Notes", she talked about the weekend and her apple crisp looked delicious!
Now, to your question: I love Zumba DVD's because they are fun and even though it's an exercise feels more just like dancing!
Have a great week!
Thank you lovely Meg! Love Mingle Monday...
ReplyDeleteI really love Ministry Of Sound ones as its like having a bit of a boogy in your room but you get a really good work out too! :)
xxx
Happy Monday girl!
ReplyDeleteMy go to workout DVD is the 30 Day Shred. Quick and intense! :)
Loved the fashion and makeup over at Its Em! I should probaly hang around there more as my fashion sense is severely lacking. Severely.
Also loved the pretty pots project over at Such life! I love getting idea for new crafty things to do! :)
Not really a work out DVD person - but lately I've been watching TV shows while doing my yoga. Usually it's reruns of The Wonder Years or Mad Men, or Ellen
ReplyDeleteBlogs I've visited...
Its Em- she posted some really cute dresses!
The Amazing in Ordinary- the little "Dear Monday" entry was cute. I especially liked the one she wrote to her hubby. It makes my heart smile when I see loving relationships
I'm not a huge DVD fan, but Netflix Instant has good ones from Crunch to choose from. And I do always love me some Jillian Michaels.
ReplyDeleteI usually prefer the gym or a class because I don't do well working out at home. I give up more easily.
Sunshine - Love Zumba! I actually go to a Zumba class 1-2x/week!
ReplyDeleteKatie - I just ordered 30 Day Shred because everyone I know said it's awesome! Intense/great workout in no time flat!
I have just looked at Such Life, fabulous blog!! lover her post on Pretty Pots Project...such a great idea for Christmas! :)

Happy Monday! I'll come back later with my Mingle mentions.
ReplyDeleteI love P90X. But you kinda have to do the whole week to get a full body workout...unless you do the Yoga X video. It's really intense yoga, but I've never felt as good as I do when it's over. So calm and stretched and amazing.
Other than the P90X (and this isn't a joke) Kim Kardashian's workout videos really are great. The trainer that does the videos (can't remember her name) is awesome and any time you have to kick or punch, you can just pretend Kim is your punching bag. Works wonders.
This is my first mingle! I'm new to the blog-o-sphere, and excited to join in!
ReplyDelete-Love the dresses posted over at It's Em. Gorgeous silhouettes!
-Such Life posted a really cute DIY for potted plants.
30 day shred is great. You will love it!
Happy Monday everyone!
ReplyDeleteI have a yoga DVD that I bought at Target that I love... not really an awesome "workout," but great conditioning/flexibility stuff!
I just stopped by Katie's blog (the Amazing in the Ordinary)... I saw there was another Katie linked up so of course I had to go there! I was so impressed that she's gotten through five weeks of Couch to 5K! That's dedication, y'all!
I also went to Casey's blog (Stress Case)... she shared a super-yummy-looking fruit salad recipe that I'm going to have to try, and we share a love of green bean casserole (who doesn't?).
Have a wonderful Monday, everyone!
Hi Meg!! Thank's so much for hosting this. With the end of a busy summer and fall I'm looking forward to get back into the swing of blogging, networking, and meeting new friends, so I'm definitely off to check out the linkups now!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite workout DVD but I do use Body Rock TV - definitely check it out, free workouts that you can stream right off your comp!

I've never used a workout DVD, so I'm interested in these responses too. I think it would help me to sort out my exercise regime which has hit an all-time low.
ReplyDeletei checked out It's Em and I share her love of Dotty Ps! I'm so getting the cream dress next time I'm passing.
I also checked out Stress Case and her fruit salad looks lovely. Plus, she has a very cute blog design which I love :)
I stopped by life of love who had some cute Dear Monday notes.
ReplyDeleteI also took a look at bowling adventures who had some great shots of an outdoor wedding.
I love any yoga or balance ball workout dvds! Balance balls don't make you feel like you worked out, but you feel it the next day!
DVD's - 30 Day shred and Bethenny Yoga. Excellent.
ReplyDeleteI checked out Bowling Adventures and saw a gorgeous outdoor wedding
AND
Just Another Smith - and learned about a cute DIY trick for a skirt.
Workout DVD - Tracy Anderson baby! Trainer to the stars!
ReplyDeleteI read "Just Another Smith" and "It's Em". Both had posts about clothing and style which was right up my alley!!!
Happy Belated Bday Meg!
Hi Meg! I am a HUGE DVD person now that I dont have access to a gym here... I love Jillian Michaels Power Yoga, I'm a MAJOR Tracy Anderson girl...the mat workout is the BEST and I also love physics 57....so challenging. Promise to check out some blogs tomorrow...off to bed...been a very long day!

I also visited Katie at "the amazing in the ordinary" and, same as above, I loved her blog I followed it as well. So fun to see new blogs. Thank you for doing mingle monday!

I love 30 day Shred and Turbo Jam. Happy MOnday!
ReplyDeleteHii!
ReplyDeleteI vistied megan from " greeting from texas!" and immediately became a fan. Check her out -- for me it was like reading a blog of a friend I haven't met yet :)
as for workout dvds, im a big fan of zumba, but I agree with faye, ive heard awesome things about p90x, its just a huge commitement
My husband tries to get me to do p90x when I start complaining about being out of shape. I don't last more than 5 minutes because I don't like being told how to do sit-ups! I've only ever had one dvd and it is a pilates one. I used it all through college. But now, I go to the occasional class at the gym, steal the moves, and just do it all at home. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!
I love love love 30 Day Shred...my friends have tried and successfully completed Insanity and they look phenomenal. I get tired just watching the infomercial!
ReplyDeleteI stopped by and visited Jen and Cash Cowan. I love this blog! It's part personal blog, part how to shop cheap at great stores!
I also stopped by Sarah's Shades for Every Adventure. Loved her post about what she doesn't need more of what she does need more of. I think we're closet "sole"mates!
I vistied megan from " greeting from texas!" and immediately became a fan. The girl is adorable and super funny...hop on over and visit now!
ReplyDeleteAlso checked out such life - adorable make it your self Christmas gifts!
xoxo from Trinidad
I really love the Comcast OnDemand workouts. They switch them up all the time, and it's super convenient to be able to pull it up without having an actual DVD or anything, and they are FREE!
ReplyDeleteI visited Kristins Knook -- she has an awesome recipe for pumpkin ice cream cake that made my mouth water!
What I love about p90x, Shakeology & Beachbody
ReplyDelete1. Total body solution – it doesn’t just burn fat and build muscle, it improves flexibility, agility, coordination, balance and core strength. In addition to lifting, it includes yoga, plyometrics, Kenpo and stretching.
2. Convenience -- in the time it takes for me to just drive to/from the gym, I can have half my p90x workout done! With my busy schedule, this is a must.
3. Having a coach – I can’t recommend this enough. Having a coach who has gone through the program before, has run into obstacles and overcome them is very important. You will have questions and a coach can help you!
4. Community Support – There will be times when your motivation will wane and you’ll need to lean on others for support. You may need a dose of inspiration. That’s what the p90x TeamBeachbody.com community is all about!
5. Shakeology – When it comes to nutrition, it doesn’t get any better than this. This meal replacement gave my body the right nutrition it needed to lose the fat, build muscle and flush away the toxins! My skin, hair, eyes, nails all look healthier.
