Because this little lass has tickets to the midnight showing of The Hunger Games!!! Yup, you heard that right. I will be spending the evening with Adam, our closest friends, and 10,000 kids on spring break at the movies! Woohoo!
After reading the first book, I just loved it far more than I ever imagined. Needless to say, the night I finished it I had to rush out and get the second book. I bring a whole new meaning to the word obsessed apparently.
Nevertheless, I am beyond thrilled that the gang and I have talked BF into tagging along. For whatever reason, he thought The Hunger Games was more in the Twilight saga category, but as soon as he heard the premise and read some reviews... he was all in! Here's your sneak peak...
Who else is planning to catch the film this weekend? Are you so excited? Did you read the book first?
"May the odds be ever in your favor..."
I'll be there at midnight too!!!!! The thing is that The Hunger Games is so much more than just a book about teenagers. It really speaks out about society and the way we treat people and war and government and everything. It's SO POWERFUL and makes me want to do something!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely want to see it this weekend--hoping it happens. I LOVED the book and was super excited when I found out they were doing a movie :)
ReplyDeleteYay! Me too!!! I'm so excited!!!
ReplyDeleteEmily - Couldn't agree with you more, girlfriend! The book was addicting and inspirational.
ReplyDeleteJenn & Lacey - Oh man... I'm counting down the hrs! Wish you all were here to go with me!! :)
Soo many people are excited to see this - not just teenies! ;) But good for you for going - how fun! I haven't read the books or gotten into it, but I felt the same way when Sex and The City Came out!!
ReplyDeleteGoing on Sunday! FREAKING PSYCHED! can't wait to read reviews next week!
ReplyDeleteI seriously cannot wait!! It's going to be so good. =)
ReplyDeleteKeep Shining,
Meghan
I have my IMAX midnight showing tickets for tonight also!! I am beyond stoked, and can't wait to wear my Hunger Games thermal hoodie and my Effie Trinket hair and makeup with pride, right along with all of the teeny boppers. Funny enough I will be with a large crowd of late 20's friends, so I will be in great company. Psst, I'm making your Guiness Chocolate cupakes to eat while in line, any suggestions on making them with success?
ReplyDeleteJealous! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteAhhh I am SO excited.
ReplyDeleteMy little cousin wants me to take her to the midnight showing...but...I can't do it. I'll fall asleep. I'm such an old lady...I'm such a light weight :(
ENJOY <3
Yep, I will be there too! I'm so pumped!
ReplyDeleteI still haven't read the books. I feel like I'm the ONLY one! :(
ReplyDeleteI am sort of embarrassed that I am so excited to see this movie. It is going to be awesome! :)
ReplyDeleteI am very excited about the movie as well. I read the books about a year ago and absolutely love the three of them. I am going to try to watch it on Sunday, cant' wait. Hope you enjoy the movie :)
ReplyDeleteMy book club is going on Monday...loved the book! The men in your lives need to read the books, too...the action sucks them right in:)
