ReplyDeleteooo I just started XD
ReplyDeleteThought I had to enter first before I see everyone >.< Looking forward to reading the blogs ^^
As for the wedding... Would be one of my friends wedding last september in Essex, The reason I found it unique and magical was due to the fact that the days before and after the wedding it was pouring with rain and very winding... but on the actual wedding day... it was so sunny with swans walking around ^^

I haven't been to any weddings in awhile. My favorite "touch" was something we did: Big glass jars filled with candy. You can't go wrong with that!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to say the best wedding I've ever been to was my cousin Aaron's in Spokane, WA. It was at this golf course that my grandfather used to take all the grandkids (I was too young and never got that experience before he passed), plus it was perfect weather for dancing outside!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday, love!
I'm so excited to participate in Mingle Monday because I just started my own blog last week!
ReplyDeleteThe prettiest wedding I've been to was the first wedding I went to. My uncle got married in Chicago when I was only 7 and I still remember it being a magical day. The other bonus was that I was the only one of my siblings allowed to stay up super late for the reception!
My own! It was outdoors, laid back, and lovely. It was us to a T.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say my own wedding!! It was perfect, and so peaceful in Jamaica!!
ReplyDeleteI have to be a snob and say my own. It was pink and blingy and we had our favorite band there rocking out all night! It was heaven :)
ReplyDeleteA couple of years ago my friend had, no joke, a $100,000 wedding. Not saying you have to spend that much, but it was full of personal touches and felt very intimate! Which was bizarre considering the price tag!
ReplyDeletehmmm unique? I'm not sure. I've been to a lot of great weddinds but nothing struck me as unique? Every wedding has something special about it. Prettiest? Besides mine...probably the one I just worked which was navy and white and glittery :)
ReplyDeleteHow uncouth is it to say that my wedding is my favorite?? Lol. It was so perfect and so US. If I could give you any advice, it would be that-- make sure your day is a reflection of YOU GUYS. That will make it perfect. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I obviously loved my own wedding, but it was a very laid back event. My favorite weddings have been the ones with personal touches. One of my friends served ice cream from a local shop at the reception, which was delicious AND sentimental.
ReplyDeleteHa, that's one tough question for me to answer ;) I've done a lot of amazing weddings, but as a guest? I mean, I like to think that my own wedding was pretty fabulous...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out Meg! Can't wait to see your shower recap :)
xoxo,
Joelle
I loved my wedding, but the best after my own was my cousin's wedding. The location was great (overseeing the Inner Harbor of Baltimore at night) and the drinks never stopped coming! It was GREAT!
ReplyDeleteI honestly haven't been too many weddings and the few I can think of weren't exactly unique.. However my favorite would be my old bff from high schools wedding in which I was maid of honor and since it was a jewish wedding it was totally new to me!
ReplyDeleteI went to a winter wedding once that was absolutely beautiful with trees wrapped around in lights and everything was winter themed! So pretty and romantic :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to too many weddings but my twin sister is getting married this year. I think she will be the prettiest bride I have ever seen :-) She looks stunning in her dress!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the mingle - I have tried my very own link up today :-) First time for everything right?
Missy
I haven't been to that many weddings (yet). Probably the last wedding I went to with big jars of colorful candy as wedding favors :)
ReplyDeleteThe most awesome-ly put together I've been to was my co-workers wedding, think barn wedding beautified: http://passionpinkandpearls.blogspot.com/2012/10/barn-wedding-reality.html
ReplyDeleteBut the sweetest wedding I attended was a friend of my husbands, back before we got married. Their dads both spoke at their wedding and it was lovely (course they had a beautiful venue too! a historic home in st. louis)
Thanks for hosting Meg! I went to a wedding at an art gallery. It was a really fun environment and it was fun to look at all of the art while the wedding party was taking pictures. Can't wait to hear more about your plans!!
ReplyDeleteThe prettiest, or most unique, wedding I've been to was years ago when wedding crazes started happening with my friends. The groom and his family have been long time friends of my family and he was marrying a girl who was an only child so there were no stops put out when it came time for the wedding. They got married at the oldest historic cathedral in STL, had a horse drawn Cinderella carriage take them from the church to their picture destinations. Once at the reception, they had movies going of them growing up, and their cake(s) were 3 versions of Cinderella's castle. Needless to say it was a dream wedding!
ReplyDeleteThe most unique wedding I've been to was outdoors and had a very short ceremony followed by lawn games, a bouncy house, a live band, and a pizza oven cranking out all kinds of delicious pizza!
ReplyDeleteBesides my own :), it would probably have to be my friend Meredith's wedding! She had a NYE wedding and it was super chilly that day but the weather made for very pretty wintery pictures of her and the bridal party. And she got married in an old historic church that was beautiful inside.
ReplyDeleteNew follower! I love weddings that have personal touches that represent you and your new hubby! Also my sister in law had a super cute 30's theme that I loved:)
ReplyDeleteI've been to hardly any weddings--though the most memorable one was my youth pastor's where after the ceremony we (rowdy teenagers) carried him outside the church and doused him with water. While his bride stood by clapping and laughing. I guess you would have to have a good sense of humor to work with teenagers...
ReplyDeleteThis is a toughie today! A friend had some unique touches I thought were cool. She faced the crowd and had the preacher's back to the audience throughout the ceremony. It was neat being able to see the bride and groom during the proceedings. They also used nontraditional songs during the ceremony.
ReplyDeletei loved my aunt jenny's wedding - the venue was classic and gorgeous...and everything was flowers and flowing and gorgeous! it was my very first wedding i remember - and as a flower girl..the whole thing was just magical :)

ReplyDeleteLove your Mingle Monday. I've had a blog since 2010, but am now finally "diving" into real blogging.
ReplyDeleteI went to 14 weddings this year--INSANE. I blogged about my favorite weddings this year.
I've had some pretty unique weddings--my cousins wedding was in Santa Barbara this summer and it was seriously magical (a weekend full of fun activities).

Well, of course I loved my own wedding the most...but if I had to pick a favorite wedding of one of my friends it would be this past summer where both the ceremony and reception were outdoors and during their vows they simply listed all of the things they loved about each other. It was very sweet.
