I've been wanting to fill you all in on my little trip to Spokane, Washington and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho ever since I first laid eyes on the gorgeousness that in the Northwest.
I have never ever been to that part of the country and I guess I thought it wouldn't be as beautiful as it was! So I flew into Spokane with my mother-in-law, Sarah, to visit Adam and my father-in-law for the weekend while they were their on business... and never wanted to come home.
Once we got in we enjoyed lunch and tea at The Davenport Hotel downtown. So historic and fun!
I indulged in the famous soft peanut brittle from Davenport Confections and a handcrafted snowflake ornament in the little hotel boutique shop.
On our way back to meet up with the guys, we decided to stop in some other local boutiques downtown. I loved Isabelle Paris Maison - so original with beautiful antique touches! I was also in love with kids store, French Toast, where I bought some cute little gifts for my preggo friends!
The next day, we stopped by too visit our hubbies at the new Spokane plant - so stinking proud of them!
They were going to work the rest of the day, so we hopped across the Washington border to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. By far one of the prettiest places I've ever been to!
We drove around the scenic lake view, and then shopped along the main street there, where I continued to fuel my Christmas obsession by buying way to much holiday decor! :)
We stayed at Coeur d'Alene Resort right on the lake, and even the lobby was beautiful. When I checked into my room I am pretty sure my jaw dropped. One room and the view was so romantic and cozy! Loved having the fireplace in our room.
And those Coeur d'Alene sunsets.... ahh! I already dream of going back.
A few panoramic shots of our room and the balcony view each night via my iPhone!
A few other favorites! The resort desserts were so yum!
The guys had to work on Saturday morning unexpectedly, so we drove to Sandpoint, Idaho, which is a cute little town surrounded by lakes. And once again, so many cute home stores in the Cedar Street Bridge Public Market full of Christmas decorations.
My suitcase was MUCH heavier on my way back to KC!
Our last morning was cold and foggy (a little Twilight esque, if you will - haha!), so I was so excited to lounge around the resort spa and enjoy a couples massage with hubs. The setting overlooked the lake and I loved every minute of it.
I sure missed that man while he's been gone the last few weeks, so I was soaking in every moment with him.
As sad as I was to leave my hubby in Spokane, I was glad to see this cute pups little face when I got home. It made it a little bit better to snuggle Bella Beast.
So long Washington and Idaho, I will be back again very soon. Already secretly planning my next stay at Coeur d'Alene, my new fave. You have to go visit - these pictures don't even do it justice!
I saw the pics on Instagram when you were there and MY jaw dropped! I definitely want to go now!
