It's time to cheer on Team USA in their first World Cup opener! In case you had any doubts, let me reassure you that we will be celebrating tonight at our World Cup party. I started playing soccer from a very young age through high school, and have been a part of a crazy soccer family. So needless to say, the world cup is like Christmas morning.
The Haskins House will be full of friends and I've got my light-up America fedora ready to go (it was a total gem during the Olympics! Haha!). We're so proud that our local KC Sporting soccer team has two players starting on the World Cup team (Go Zusi and Besler!), so it will be extra fun.
Anyway, it was a spectacular weekend and I will have to recap you on le blog this week! Lots of crazy things coming your way, so I hope you stay tuned!

Still proud to say that 100% of advertisement sponsorship proceeds go to my charity of choice, the American Cancer Society Hope Lodge. There are dozens and dozens of Hope Lodges across the country that give cancer patients a free place to stay while out of town for cancer treatment - such a cool place!
With just $10, you can get a month long ad and know that it is going to help real cancer patients and their families. So please join me in my fundraising effort by becoming a sponsor HERE!

I saw the Cardinals win the World Series because of a rain out and had standing room only tickets. I must say that is probably the best experience I'll ever have with sports. I wouldn't mind doing it again though!
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to the Summer Olympics and see track and gymnastics.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see the baseball World Series with my husband.
ReplyDeleteI'm not huge into watching sports - but really enjoy baseball games in the summer (go jay's) if I had to choose one it would be the Gold Olympic Medal Hockey game :)
ReplyDeleteI love football, so I would have to say the Superbowl!
ReplyDeleteI am going to NYC in October and I really hope I will get to see a basketball game! x
ReplyDeleteI would love to go to the Superbowl. To see the Panthers play (and win) of course! :0)

Would love to watch all Tennis Grand Slams! Thank you for hosting Meg.
ReplyDeleteZusi might be my favorite player on the team... not really sure why, but I definitely love him. So awesome that you have 2 from KC representing the US! And I think my must-see sporting event would be a game between Real Madrid & Barcelona... I remember living in Spain and how the fans got during those games when they were just watching them at the bars... so I think it would be amazing to actually go see a game in person!
ReplyDeleteI don't watch much sports but I am all for having a World Cup party! Sounds like a blast!
