Ever since I was a little girl, I lived for sweet summertime. I remember that when I was 8-years-old I used to keep a countdown of days until summer in my Precious Moments diary, and on that sweet day when school finally let out, I felt completely free. What can I say, I'm just a summer girl.
There was always so much mischief to get into, wild adventures to be had, and new things to try. Twenty years later, I am still that same blonde haired, barefoot, hippie child craving some time outdoors soaking up the sunshine.
So, I let my love for the season take over, and I created my little personal bucket list so that I can soak in all the sunny months have to offer...
Bucket List //
+ weekly trips to City Market
+ make homemade jam
+ finally visit the zoo (instead of watching the Penguin Cam daily...)
+ learn how to master pie crust
+ berry picking at Wohletz Farm
(june / strawberries, july / blueberries, august / peaches and blackberries)
+ play mini golf
+ eat crackerjacks while cheering on the Royals
+ picnic at Jazz in the Woods
+ learn to can
+ go hiking
+ visit food truck circle
+ make homemade ice cream
+ catch a drive-in movie or musical outside
+ read 8+ books
+ visit Little Freshie in Westside
+ go on a float trip
+ go watch the hot air balloon festival
+ stay at a bed & breakfast

The list could really go on and on - I love living in such a fun city! Can't wait to rally the troops to go knock some of these awesome items off the list!
In the meanwhile, I am loving this summer bucket list printable from You Are My Fave. Such a cute way to keep my bucket list organization in tact!
Tell me... what's on your summer bucket list?
Love this idea! I need to create my own summer bucket list and it would probably look a lot like yours:) I really want to get down to the City Market more this summer, too. It always seems like a great idea, and then somehow Saturday mornings slip by. I have visited Little Freshie. It is adorable, and that whole area is awesome! Hope you're having a great day!
ReplyDeleteHeck yes!! I am sure you could give me some local pointers too! I absolutely love City Market, and if I could just sit down there all day, take it all in, and people watch, I would be one happy camper! :) Can't wait to hear what makes your bucket list for the summer!
DeleteWhat a great idea! This is perfect and that list is SWOON worthy!
ReplyDeleteHey thanks, lady! I was feeling inspired by sunshiney days and sipping sangria out of mason jars this weekend. It just got me in the mood to daydream about summer :)
DeleteLove the printable list. Think I need to write my own.

Isn't that printable adorbs? I couldn't get enough when I first laid eyes on it. A swoon-worthy share! :)
DeleteI need to make my summer bucket list. On mine is to reface/re-paint our kitchen cabinets. I haven't even officially moved in yet, and I'm already re-doing our kitchen in my head lol
ReplyDeleteYou sure do need to make a bucket list! ;) It's so fun! And I am just excited for your little kitchen makeover! We redid our entire kitchen (including painting the cabinets) and it made the whole place change!! Good luck!! :)
DeleteOhh I think I need to make my summer bucket list to motivate me to not just work all summer!
ReplyDeleteAll work and no play is never fun! Get on that list, girl, and you'll have endless possibilities!
Deleteawesome list! i need to start working on our summer bucket list!! xo jillian - cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteThanks Jillian! I can only imagine all the fun things that would be on your summer bucket list up in Chicago! :)
DeleteI LOVE your list!!! I also want to learn to make homemade ice cream, such a great summer project.
ReplyDeleteI think making ice cream sounds like the best plan ever! Yum.
DeleteWe have a different cycle here in Arizona. Basically, we hide from the heat in our house and LIVE for when it stays below 100 degrees.
ReplyDeleteOk... that printable is TOO cute! Would be fun to have everyone in the family contribute and then post it somewhere in the house. The Man of the House and I are going to see Shakespeare in the Park for the first time this weekend. So excited! Our summer bucket list includes reflooring and painting all the bedrooms.
