Good Morning from KC!
I've got my green tea on hand and I'm popping cough drops like they're going out of style, but I am here and trying my hardest to function. I've been out sick since last Wednesday (I'm sure you noticed my lack of posts!) and stayed in bed through Saturday because I was a wee bit miserable. My average amount of sleep per day had to be pushing 15 hours, but I'm hopefully on the mend!
I hope your weekend was lovely - thanks for dropping by! Please hop on over to follow Life of Meg on Facebook, I would love to keep up with you on a daily basis! I give my FB friends a little heads up when the link-up goes up extra early so you can be the first ones, along with lots of other fun tidbits!
HOW TO MINGLE
Wishing you an easy breezy week!
Yuck feel better! I love me my chicken noodle soup!
ReplyDeleteAwww man, hope you feel better soon, lady!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love making homemade chicken noodle soup with tons of garlic. If you aren't an anti-garlic person, I say up your intake a ton while you don't feel well. It's a natural immnue system booster and I reach for it whenever I start to feel off. I'm rarely sick so I'd say it works for me.
Chicken noodle soup and lots of tea...and Vick's Vapor rub!
ReplyDeleteAnything with pseudo-ephedrine to stop the runny nose/dripping, and upping your Vitamin C intake!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry your sick! I usually just take nyquil and I have these vitamins that help your immune system even if your not sick too. It's called IGG, or immunocore...These are at this store: http://www.directnutritionstore.com/products-page/immune-health/page/2/ but it's in utah maybe you can find something similar in your area, but these vitamins really work well :)
ReplyDeleteAh, that's horrible girlfriend!! Please let me know if you need anything!! I hope you're feeling much better today! I wish I had some awesome home remedy for you. I just drink water like there's no tomorrow and give my body the rest it deserves. It sounds like you've got that part covered!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better, Meg! I hate to take medicine, so unless it's prescribed - and I'm dying - I tough it out!
ReplyDeleteSorry you feel so terrible!! I've recently learned essential oils and they're a lifesaver!
ReplyDeleteThis might sound crazy (but don't all the best home remedies sound a little nuts!?). Salt & Vinegar chips are the best cure for a sore throat. They have to be really vinegary though!
ReplyDeleteI'm all about having soup and LOTS of Netflix time. I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon Meg!
ReplyDeleteIt's more of like a go to food....I eat egg noodles and diced tomatoes when I'm sick. I know, it sounds so weird and even my husband doesn't understand it haha, but that has been my sick food for as long as I can remember.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon!
I hope you feel better! :) Don't pop too much cough drops though...I had too much one time and got an upset stomach. Like, really upset. LOL

ReplyDeleteHot Green/Black tea and lots lots of Honey! <3
ReplyDeleteSuch a bummer that you're sick! I had it a few weeks ago - it was miserable! My remedy is lots of sleep and gatorade. I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are on the mend and hope you feel a whole lot better soon. I host a link up every Wednesday, stop by if you get the chance.

A long scalding shower and chicken noodle soup!
ReplyDeleteThank you - I'm on the mend. And yes, you can't beat a classic like chicken noodle!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by, friend! :) You know what, I just read an article about garlic's immune boosting properties, which is good news because I love garlic!
ReplyDeleteI've got the tea going and smell like a mint factory currently! Haha! :) Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteUsually when I am sick it's because of sinus stuff so I use the Netti Pot religiously, almost always works!
ReplyDeleteOh yes!! Perfect tips! And I'm addicted to the Emergen-C packs for a little tasty vitamin C boost... mmm!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Yes, I definitely try to load up on the vitamins and any immune system boosting go to... hello smoothies!! Thanks for dropping by!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, you're so sweet - thanks for offering! You know, I know it sounds simple to douse out the yuck with water, but it's so true! I always feel way better quicker when I have my water going full force. Hope you're having a good week - thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteHot tea and chicken noodle soup..and lots and lots of sleep
ReplyDeleteI hear you! It was a bad case this last time, so I had to wimp out and see our family doc, but usually smoothies, water, vitamins, and rest is my go to!
ReplyDeleteThank you, lady! I am definitely on the up and up! I've heard such great things about essential oil use - I need to look into that! Any faves?
ReplyDeleteThis is both hilarious and awesome... because I love me some salt and vinegar chips! So any excuse to eat a whole bag I will gladly take! ;)
ReplyDeleteTHAT"S THE CURE! Netflix!! Now why didn't I think of that! ;) Thanks for dropping by for Mingle Monday, lady!
ReplyDeleteAww you're so sweet - thank you so much! After taking some great home remedy suggestions and lots of rest, I think I am finally on the mend! Hope you're having a good week so far!
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny!! What hilarious sick food, but hey, you like what you like and nobody can judge you on a sick day! ;) Thanks for dropping by!!
ReplyDeleteYou're so sweet - thank you! And good to know on the cough drops - I seriously have been eating at least 10 in a row all day. I definitely's don't want to be in trouble with an upset tummy!
ReplyDeleteAmen, sister! I love love love hot green tea (currently sipping some), so you are like my sick remedy bestie! ;) Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteAww thanks Jules! Yes, this little (big!) bug was awful and knocked me off my feet for 5+ days! I slept like a newborn babe though! Miss you!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI applied for three from Insta Natural through brandbacker and I received two of them - peppermint and lemon. Peppermint is awesome for any aches and pains and every time I'm surprised at how quickly they work. An immediate difference! My sister has a full set of 12 or 15 oils from Young Living and she's found a million uses for them! I need to learn more about them but I love what I've learned so far!
ReplyDeleteI took the HOTTEST longest shower of my life last night, and when I got done my husband said he thought I must have drowned in our stand up shower - haha! I've reached the water quota for the month, but man did it feel good!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I will have to remember that you do that on Wednesdays - I love blog hopping!! :)
ReplyDeleteYou nailed my go-to's!! That combo will get you better in no time! Thanks for dropping by!! :)
ReplyDeleteMy husband swears by that too! It kind of freaks me out to try, but I need to stop being a sissy!! :) Thanks for linking up, Sarah!!
