Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams grand re-opening {holy Brown Butter Almond Brittle!}

Pretending to be Elvis at RCA Studio B

Scoping out Belle Meade for our dream southern mansion

Drowning ourselves in whiskey caramel lattes and hipster vibes at Barista Parlor

Taking in the hiking views at Lake Radnor State Park

Playing cards while waiting for our turn to fried chicken it up at Loveless Cafe

Top 15 Workout Songs That Keep Me Moving

Good morning ya'll! 

I don't know about you gals, but today I'm feeling a little sluggish. As much as I don't feel like getting back into that healthy groove, I think today is a good day for a fresh start... especially post-vacay pallooza.

After being cooped up all winter, I was more than ready to be outside again the first day the sunshine returned. I reached the point where I was tired of justifying that eating a vat of macaroni and cheese (hello comfort food!) and watching 6 episodes of Girls in one night is a necessity.

Do you ever reach that point where being lazy is not fun anymore? 

When that scoop (or three...) of Ben & Jerry's no longer tastes as sweet as you thought, and you're terrified that you're going to break the elastic on your favorite yoga pants that have miraculously survived 7 years post-college?

Yup. I hit that point the first week in April, and feeling it again after a long weekend of vacation indulgences (vacation recap coming tomorrow!). Today I'm very thankful for great weather, renewed motivation, exercise buddies, and this new playlist that keeps me going!

My mom picked a visit to a delicious burger shack, shopping at the cutest new discovery in KC, and people watching at Loose park (we may or may not have seen a crazy man walking around with a yellow boa constrictor). It was the perfect day!

And we celebrated with Adam's side of the fam last night by cooking out burgers and having a mellow night in catching up. So much fun!

Lately I'm thankful for rosy blooms that make home homier.

For Saturday coffee & toasty dates where the bakers know your name.

For photos from sissy in far away places.

For learning new things that make my creative soul happy.

For spring weather with great views.

For favorite coffee shops that feel like home.

For local made goods and the heart behind them.

For parents who know how to party,

For dog park Sundays and an adventurous one that loves mud puddles.

For the cute freckles on his eyelids and that kind heart that makes marriage such a blessing.
